Shabbat and Festivals
Congregation Beth Shalom offers Conservative egalitarian worship services on a weekly basis. Our doors are open to all who seek to worship, learn and serve the community.
Saturday Mornings – 9:45 AM
Our Shabbat morning service is conducted primarily in Hebrew using Siddur Lev Shalem. We include English prayers and readings in the service. Our prayerbook provides transliterations of most of the prayers that are sung congregationally, as well as meaningful explanations and beautiful interpretive readings.
We read Torah and Haftarah portions on the triennial cycle adopted by the Rabbinical Assembly, with a sermon (D’var Torah) related to the weekly Torah portion . Optional participation; with honors such as aliyot, Ark openings, carrying or lifting/dressing the Torah or leading English readings; is offered to congregants and guests.
The service concludes with a Kiddush lunch where congregants and guests eat and socialize.
First-time visitors must provide identification and contact information to the security officer. Parking and entry is provided at the rear of the building. Specific directions will be emailed following security registration.
Festival Mornings – 9:30 AM
Our weekly bulletin lists the dates and times for all holiday services.
